Herald of Doom Issue #1

First published in 1994, the Herald of Doom was a short lived fanzine that saw contributions from many of the games leading authors. Edited and published by Malcolm Wolter, this professional looking magazine broke ground in both presentation and content. Contributors included Mark Morrison (renowned Call of Cthulhu author), Richard Watts (Line Developer of the ELRIC! edition and regular contributor here at Stormbringer!) and Lawrence Whitaker (who is one of the key writers for Mongoose Publishing’s Eternal Champion line).

It is hoped that additional issues of Herald of Doom will be released over the coming year.

Please note, this is a scanned copy of the original issue, and at the editors request has limited accessibility. It is a pleasure for Stormbringer! to be able to host this fantastic magazine and everything it represented to the game line.

Calisander by Richard Watts

A Scenario for the ELRIC! ruleset.

Calisander is a adventure designed to introduce novice adventurers to the Vilmirian city of Old Hrolmar and its interesting inhabitants. What begins as a simple investigation quickly escalates into a race against time, where failure to succeed might well signal the destruction of this great bastion of change.

Just what do Calisander Trammel, the limping man and Baron Zamoro of Old Hrolmar have in common? All is revealed in this exciting adventure by Richard Watts.

Calisander was first run as a tournament at the gaming convention Conquest in Melbourne, Australia in 1992. This expanded version is written in such a way that Gamemasters can include the adventure into any Stormbringer campaign, and  where desired, expand upon the plot so as to develop it into the opening chapter of a longer campaign.
